Getting Started
Riakoo runs in the browser, so your team can create an exam and participants can join without installing an app or extension.

2. Add Participants
Create participant accounts with unique User IDs and passwords. Riakoo stores participant passwords as hashes and keeps each session tied to one candidate.

3. Publish & Share the Link
Publish the exam when the setup is ready, then send the exam link and credentials to participants. They can begin from a modern browser with camera and location permissions.

4. Monitor Live
Use the live proctor dashboard to watch participant status, tab-switch events, copy attempts, GPS data, and camera screenshots while the exam is running.

5. Export Results
After the exam, review scores and incidents, publish results when appropriate, and export PDF reports for audit, HR, school, or certification records.
Anti-Cheat Features
Riakoo combines browser controls, timestamped event logs, camera evidence, and location context so proctors can review what happened during each session.
Tab Switch Detection
When a participant leaves the exam tab or exits the intended exam view, Riakoo records the event with a timestamp so the proctor can review it later.
Camera Screenshots

Copy-Paste & DevTools Blocking
Common shortcut paths such as copy, paste, right-click, F12, and DevTools access are blocked during an active exam to reduce easy answer sharing.

When enabled and permitted by the participant, GPS data adds location context to the session record and helps confirm where a remote participant joined from.

What is Riakoo?+
Riakoo is a browser-based online exam proctoring platform for educators, HR teams, and certification bodies. It helps teams create assessments, monitor participants in real time, capture integrity evidence, and export results without requiring software installation.
Do participants need to install any software or browser extension?+
No. Participants open the exam link in a modern browser. Riakoo does not require a desktop app, plugin, or browser extension.
How does tab switch detection work?+
Riakoo listens for browser visibility and focus changes during an active exam. If a participant leaves the exam tab or switches away, the platform records a timestamped event for the proctor to review.
How often are screenshots taken?+
Screenshot intervals depend on the plan and exam configuration. Riakoo supports periodic camera screenshots such as every 5 minutes on basic setups and 1, 3, or 5-minute intervals on paid plans.
Is GPS tracking mandatory for participants?+
GPS tracking is only used when the exam configuration requires it and the participant grants browser location permission. If location is required, participants are informed before starting the exam.
Can participants cheat by using a second device?+
No browser-based tool can physically block a second device. Riakoo reduces risk by recording tab activity, screenshots, GPS context, and incident logs so proctors have evidence to review suspicious sessions.
How are exam answers graded?+
Objective questions such as multiple choice can be graded automatically. Essay or open-ended responses can be reviewed manually by the proctor before results are published.
Is participant data stored securely?+
Riakoo uses secure sessions, server-side authorization checks, hashed participant passwords, TLS in transit, and Firebase storage infrastructure. Correct answers stay server-side and are not sent to the participant browser during the exam.
What is the difference between Free and Teacher Pro?+
Free is for small trials with monthly exam limits and basic integrity monitoring. Teacher Pro or Pro unlocks unlimited assessments, higher participant limits, GPS verification, configurable screenshot intervals, result controls, and longer report retention.
How many participants can join one exam?+
Participant limits depend on the plan. Current public plans support small free sessions and larger paid sessions, with Team and Enterprise options for organizations that need higher volume.
Can I export results after the exam ends?+
Yes. Proctors can review completed sessions and export PDF reports containing scores, answers, incident logs, and available evidence after the exam ends.
Does Riakoo work on mobile devices?+
Riakoo runs in modern browsers, including many mobile browsers. For high-stakes exams, a laptop or desktop is usually recommended because camera positioning, keyboard entry, and monitoring are more reliable.
