Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Riakoo (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Riakoo is an online exam proctoring platform that allows educators and organizations (“Proctors”) to create and monitor exams while recording anti-cheat signals from exam participants (“Participants”).

3. Accounts and Registration

  • Proctors must register using a valid Google account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to create a Proctor account.
  • You agree not to share your account credentials with others.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Monitor individuals without their informed and explicit consent.
  • Upload, transmit, or store any content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, bypass, or exploit any security controls of the Service.
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission from Maleo Labs.

5. Proctoring and Participant Consent

As a Proctor, you are solely responsible for obtaining all required consents from Participants before administering an exam. You represent that every Participant has been informed that camera footage, GPS data, and activity logs will be captured. Riakoo provides a pre-exam consent screen as a technical aid, but legal compliance obligations rest with you.

6. Subscription and Payments

  • Free plan features are provided at no charge and may be changed or discontinued at any time with reasonable notice.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly via Lemon Squeezy. Prices are displayed in IDR (Indonesian Rupiah) unless otherwise stated.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the Billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law.

7. Intellectual Property

All exam content (questions, answers, reports) you create remains your property. You grant Riakoo a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the Service. Riakoo and its underlying technology are owned by Maleo Labs.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MALEO LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Jakarta, Indonesia.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated with at least 14 days' notice.
